TECHNICAL PROGRAMME NOW LIVE

Carbon Capture and Storage (CCS) has the potential to decarbonise the economy and maximise economic opportunities for the UK. The UK Committee on Climate Change (CCC) has gone further, stating that CCS is a necessity, not an option.

Driven by global policy support, carbon capture capacity is expanding and diversifying into hard-to-abate sectors such as cement, iron and steel, and power. Transport and storage networks represent major pillars in the CCS chain, and net-zero scenarios will require significant CO2 transport and storage infrastructure.

With an estimated 100 stores required in the UK alone, the lack of transport and storage capacity could prove to be a bottleneck for carbon capture deployment. As investments in carbon capture, transport, and storage infrastructure reach new heights, there is an urgent need for industry, research, and academia to share knowledge and demonstrate the ability to safely and efficiently transport and store CO2.

We invite you to attend the CO2 Storage Conference on 1-2 October 2024. This event offers unparalleled opportunities to:

- Learn from and share knowledge with leading experts in the field

- Explore cutting-edge innovations and technologies that are paving the way for cost savings and expediting project timelines

- Network with industry peers and potential collaborators

- Gain insights into the latest developments in CO2 storage technologies and best practices

Sponsorship and Exhibition Opportunities

SPE Aberdeen and GESGB are both not-for-profit organisations and are the organisers of this event. Raising sponsorship is vital not only for the successful delivery of the conference but to enable re-investment back into the industry. By supporting this event, not only are you providing an important knowledge sharing and training opportunity for the industry, but you are also supporting our future generation of young engineers through providing bursaries.

For details on the sponsorship and exhibition packages, download the programme flyer, and to enquire, contact Aberdeen.events@spe-uk.org.
