Transforming menopause from a taboo topic into a powerful conversation.

We all need to understand how small changes can make impactful strides in inclusivity.

The SPE ‘Big Conversation’ is back talking about menopause. It’s about building inclusive working environments and therefore impacts everyone in the workplace through supporting women in their roles. Economically, menopause impacts the workplace: we discuss how we can strengthen our businesses and organisations by making some small changes with greater understanding.

We are delighted to introduce our world class speaker on the topic of “Menopause in the Workplace”. Lauren stands at the forefront of workplace wellness as a pioneering advocate for menstrual health and menopause awareness. As the visionary founder and CEO of Women of a Certain Stage, she has spent the last decade championing the cause of transforming menopause from a taboo topic into a powerful conversation about empowerment and systemic change within corporations. Her journey from a high-ranking executive in financial services to a leading voice in menopause advocacy was sparked by her personal battle with premature menopause.

She has provided evidence to the UK government, the USA DE&I committee and regularly contributes to the media. In 2023, Lauren's influence extended with a invite to join the British Standards Institution (BSI) in creating a landmark standard for Menstruation, Menstrual Health, and Menopause, a testament to her status as a thought leader. This work achieved international acclaim, lea

ding to her appointment to the International Organisation for Standardization (ISO) committee, where she now plays a pivotal role in shaping global the next tranche of standards.

With a rich background in psychology, sports therapy, nutrition, and leadership, Lauren crafts transformative training programs for corporations, blending research with practical application. An international keynote speaker, her engaging and motivational presentations have positioned her as a sought-after partner, driving movement towards inclusive and supportive workplaces. Lauren's commitment to excellence and innovation in health and workplace equality marks her as a transformative figure in ensuring menstrual health and menopause are managed with the dignity and support they warrant.
