CO2 Storage Conference 2025

30 September – 1 October, Chester Hotel, Aberdeen

Programme now live!

Recent major announcements mark a pivotal moment for carbon capture and storage. The government's £22bn pledge over 25 years to support Track 1 projects, alongside the first storage permit awarded to Northern Endurance Partnership, demonstrates real commitment to delivering CCS at scale. The UK's strategic advantages - including 78Gt of potential CO₂ storage capacity, existing infrastructure ready for repurposing, and decades of operational expertise - position it perfectly to serve as a pan-European CO₂ storage hub.

The UK has made significant progress through its Track process and first CCS licensing round, awarding 21 new appraisal and storage licenses that form a substantial project pipeline. To maintain this momentum and meet the UK's 2030 storage targets, the industry must now accelerate its development pace.

Join leading experts to:

  • Share knowledge and demonstrate innovative solutions for safe, efficient CO₂ transport and storage
  • Explore cutting-edge innovations and technologies that are paving the way for cost savings and expediting project timelines
  • Network with industry peers and potential collaborators
  • Gain insights into the latest developments in CO₂ storage technologies and best practices

Key Sessions

  • Operations & Project Development
  • Well Control & Integrity
  • Measurement, Monitoring & Verification (MMV)
  • Policy & Regulation
  • Subsurface Characterisation & Storage
  • Wells & Infrastructure

YP Session – Tuesday 30th September, 12:45 – 13:45
