Automation, A means to reduce carbon footprint?

Alf will discuss the significant efficiency enhancements achieved through the deployment of automation technology in the North Sea and the resultant benefits to both well construction costs and carbon footprint reduction. The presentation will cover a concise overview of the technologies, illustrate their impact through real-world case studies, and explore the potential role of this technology in shaping a more environmentally sustainable future.

Target Audience: Politicians & Government, O&C Operators, Drilling Contractors, and Service Companies.

Alf Fredvik has an MSc in Data and Telecommunication. Alf is driven by a passion for technology and its transformative potential and has more than 20 years of experience doing just that.

He currently works at NOV as a Product Line Director, globally responsible for software and digital products within the Rig Technology business unit.
