SPE Aberdeen Energy Exchange Hub - Fireside Chat - Charging Forward: Women Leaders Closing the AI Gap in Energy with Christina Horspool - Cairngorm Energy.
We are joined by Christina Horspool, Managing Director of Consultancy at Cairngorm Energy, where she originally trained as an Environmental Scientist. Christina's career has spanned environmental consulting, sustainability, innovation, and business leadership. A former science teacher and global people leader, she is passionate about unlocking potential in individuals and teams, creating cultures of continuous learning, and equipping organisations with the capabilities needed to thrive through change.
Her perspective on Artificial Intelligence is grounded in both optimism and responsibility. Christina believes AI presents a significant opportunity to enhance human capability, unlock value and transform the way the energy sector operates. However, she also advocates for thoughtful adoption, recognising the importance of governance, critical thinking, ethics and human judgement in ensuring technology delivers positive outcomes for businesses, individuals and society.
Christina is a strong advocate for women in energy as an Ambassador for Women In New Energy (W.I.N.E).
