Leadership can be one of an organisation’s greatest drivers of performance, or one of its biggest hidden costs. This interactive workshop explores how leadership affects engagement, retention, productivity and workplace culture, while examining how leadership decisions and behaviours can also be reflected under the Equality Act 2010. Through practical exercises on the Leadership SHINE System™, participants will explore how understanding people better can lead to stronger teams and better business outcomes.

Leadership isn't about finding one management style and applying it to everyone.
This interactive taster workshop introduces The Leadership SHINE System™, a practical approach to understanding yourself as a leader and recognising the different people, experiences and strengths within your team.
Rather than simply listening to another presentation about leadership, participants will take part in guided reflection and practical exercises designed to challenge assumptions, encourage honest conversations and leave them with ideas they can apply in their own teams.

Call to Action:

Come ready to reflect, participate and challenge some of the assumptions we make about ourselves, our teams and what good leadership looks like.

Key Themes / Topics:

• Understanding the individual behind the role
• Stereotypes, masking and assumptions at work
• Building trust and meaningful human connection
• Recognising different strengths, needs and ways of working
• Adapting leadership as people and circumstances change
• Creating inclusive teams where people can contribute at their best
• How leadership and workplace culture are reflected in practice under the Equality Act 2010
• The impact of leadership on engagement, retention, performance and organisational risk
