Roberto Bellini - I am nominating Roberto Bellini, Head of Product for his outstanding contribution as a young professional driving meaningful impact across the energy sector. Roberto has played a pivotal role in building trusted client relationships and delivering high-quality video production projects across oil and gas, offshore wind, and decommissioning in Aberdeen and internationally. He has led complex, end-to-end campaigns in offshore environments, including aboard Hywind Tampen, where he documented the installation of the world’s largest floating wind turbines, and for major operations with Chevron and ENI in the Mediterranean and Africa. His leadership in content creation for DOF’s Western Isles decommissioning project further highlights his ability to showcase industry capabilities and amplify the work of people and assets across the sector.
One of Roberto’s most influential achievements is Educating the Next Generation, an Energy Insider initiative supported by SPE Aberdeen and involving over 30 organisations including BP, ETZ, Equinor, Serica Energy, TotalEnergies, XODUS, SPE, and OEUK. The initiative produced one of the sector’s largest educational video resources with over 40 career-focused videos. These materials are now delivered to more than 200 schools in Scotland through the OEUK PlanIT platform, four universities, and NESCOL.
Roberto is also a key contributor to LeanDecom, a collaborative video-based decommissioning awareness course developed with regulators, operators, and supply chain partners. He led Equinor’s Women in Energy series, promoting greater inclusion, and actively volunteers with the Energy Institute Young Professionals Network as Skills Coordinator, alongside ongoing STEM outreach through SPE and DYW across the wider energy community.
