How do we deliver Energy Security & Net-Zero in a Mature Basin?

'Complying with and exceeding emissions targets’, ‘asset integrity issues’, ‘introducing value in a price-driven market’, ‘significant loss of experience and competence’, ‘reliability & availability of plant’.

These are just some of the challenges the topsides community told us they are currently facing, and we plan to address these and many more during this year’s conference.

It continues to be a challenging time for the oil and gas industry, as we strive to deliver energy security and Net Zero targets at the same time, with the understanding that oil and gas production will be vital for years to come.

So how are we managing to do this?

The focus of Topsides UK has always been to bring the industry together to hear leaders talk openly about the challenges they have faced, learn from case studies, and showcase the latest technology and solutions from the supply chain. This year will be no different.

The conference committee are inviting potential speakers from all sizes of organisations to submit a 200-word abstract to be considered for either a 20-minute presentation or a 5-minute “Techbyte” presentation.

This year we are looking for abstracts from operators, supply chain and the wider topsides community across the following themes:

- Asset Integrity

How do we focus on unplanned integrity failures on ageing assets; from strategy and inspection to repair or replacement

- Emissions reduction

How are we going to achieve and exceed the North sea emissions targets across all scope categories?

- Operations, Maintenance and reliability

How do we improve uptime and efficient operations in a mature basin?

- Production Optimisation

How do we improve and accelerate the development of activities to optimise late-life production

We encourage submissions that fit within the four main themes above that also incorporate the following topics:

- People, skills and competency

- Transformative solutions and short- and long-term opportunities for the supply chain

- Brownfield modifications & Greenfield projects

- Technology deployment

THE CALL FOR ABSTRACTS IS NOW OPEN AND WILL CLOSE ON 16th June.

If you have knowledge and experience to share, then we would like to invite you to submit your 200-word abstract for consideration for the 2023 conference programme. We are interested in hearing about your case studies and lessons learned, how companies have been embracing the changes within the industry, as well as examples of technologies making a difference within the industry and in the journey towards Net Zero.

To submit your abstract please go to: https://app.oxfordabstracts.com/stages/5943/submitter

Full SPE papers are not essential.
