Accelerating Geothermal Energy

11 – 12 March 2026 | Hybrid Event | The Chester Hotel, Aberdeen & Online

PRESENTATIONS NOW AVAILABLE! SCROLL DOWN ⬇️

As the global geothermal industry accelerates and groundbreaking projects advance worldwide, this represents an unprecedented period of opportunity for geothermal energy. Nations are pushing boundaries to decarbonise and localise their power and heating supply, with the UK's increasing activity showcasing diverse geothermal applications and untapped potential. SPE Aberdeen proudly announces the technical programme for its 2026 Geothermal Seminar: Accelerating Geothermal Energy - challenging conventional approaches and exploring what's next to maximise geothermal's transformational impact.

Now in its fifth year, the seminar continues to serve as a valued event for sharing research, operational insights, and next-generation innovations that are taking geothermal energy to its maximum potential.

Join us in March 2026 to engage with thought leaders and trailblazers driving this exciting energy transformation as we push boundaries, optimise performance, and accelerate toward a sustainable energy future.

HYBRID EVENT

After the success of our hybrid event in 2025, we will continue to offer delegates the opportunity to choose between in-person attendance in Aberdeen, or online via the virtual events platform. Due to the high demand for in-person attendance in 2025, the 2026 Seminar will be hosted in a larger venue with more capacity.

Both ticket options allow delegates to watch all the presentations live as they happen, as well as offering the opportunity to be involved in any interactive elements, such as Q&A sessions and polls.

In-person attendance includes additional networking opportunities, refreshments and lunch across the 2 days of the event.

Sponsorship & Exhibition Opportunities

SPE Aberdeen is a not-for-profit organisation and raising sponsorship is vital not only for the successful delivery of the conference but to enable re-investment back into the industry. By supporting this event, not only are you providing an important knowledge sharing and training opportunity for the industry, but you are also supporting the future generation and the future of our industry.

We have sponsorship opportunities available ranging from Platinum sponsorship to Coffee Break sponsors and Hybrid Event supporters. We also have a limited number of table-top exhibition stands available for companies to gain exposure during the event. Pricing and details are included on the call for abstracts flyer, and if you would like to discuss any of the opportunities available, please contact Aberdeen.events@spe-uk.org.

Special Opportunity for SMEs & Start-Ups: Accelerate Your Growth in Geothermal
Are you an innovative SME or start-up developing solutions for the geothermal sector? Geothermal 2026 offers a unique opportunity to showcase your technology, connect with industry decision-makers, and accelerate your business growth. We're offering specially discounted exhibition packages (up to 50% off) designed to make it easier for emerging companies to participate in this flagship industry event.

Your exhibition package includes a guaranteed 5-minute Techbyte presentation slot within the conference programme, giving you a platform to present your innovations directly to the full audience. Plus, exhibition stands are strategically located in the high-footfall catering area, ensuring maximum visibility as delegates network during coffee breaks and lunch throughout both days of the event. Position your business alongside established players, demonstrate your innovations to a targeted audience of geothermal experts and investors, and be part of the conversation driving the sector forward. With both in-person and virtual attendees from across the UK and internationally, this is your chance to maximise visibility and build valuable connections that can transform your business trajectory.
